Aims
  • explore the Mission and Identity of Kildare Ministries
  • discern how our mission informs our decision making as governors and stewards
  • understand the difference between civil and canon law
  • trace the journey of our Founders to the new entity of Kildare Ministries

Content
A range of speakers will explore interpretations of ‘mission’ in our current realities and how this provides the lens for decision making as governors and stewards of our Ministries.  It is about the centrality of mission as a driving force for decision making. Our Founders drew their inspiration, courage and energy from the primary founding person of Jesus; as Pope Francis has said:  “the centre is Jesus Christ, who calls us and sends us”.

Kildare Ministries draws from its traditions to become a prophetic voice for today. This day will offer a brief story of our religious orders and trace the development of forming Kildare Ministries.  It will explain the role of the Trustees in terms of their canonical responsibilities and clarify the responsibilities that come with being a Director of a Board or a Member of the Stewardship Council.

 2018 Feedback
I gained a much better understanding of the structure, vision, mission and values of Kildare Ministries and enjoyed meeting people from other boards & councils.
