Killester College

Killester College in Springvale,  is a Catholic Secondary school for girls from Years 7-12, founded by the Brigidine sisters in 1955. There are approximately 850 students and 95 staff. We are primarily a local school serving diverse cultural families from the Springvale and surrounding area in Melbourne. Killester has as its distinctive mission the provision of Catholic secondary education for young women committed to fulfilling the Brigidine Core Values - being faithful to our Catholic heritage, welcoming of all people, celebrating all that is good, engendering a love of learning and imaging and practising justice and service.

We provide a strong, broad curriculum offering a range of VCE and VET subjects, as well as a VCAL programme. Killester boasts modern facilities with continual refurbishment of buildings and ongoing building development We provide many opportunities for students to participate in wide range of extra-curricular activities in the areas of sport, music, the arts, leadership, and social justice. Killester has a strong commitment to develop a sense of social justice and community amongst its students by providing programmes and activities that give opportunities for service in our community. Our Pastoral Care system supports our belief that students have the right to learn, feel safe and be happy. Our school motto is “Strength and Kindliness”.
