Brigidine College

Brigidine College, in Indooroopilly is an Independent Catholic Girls’ College which bears the name of the Brigidine Sisters who established it in 1929. Both the people and the place have a ‘feel’ that is distinctively Brigidine.

Brigidine College is a cohesive faith and learning community, galvanized by our motto Strength and Gentleness and our core values:
  • Be faithful to our Catholic heritage
  • Welcome all people, especially the most vulnerable
  • Celebrate all that is good with joy and gratitude
  • Engender a love of learning, hope and a sense of purpose
  • Image and practise justice and service.

Learning Pathways offer rich and innovative programs for all students. The College embraces the Middle Years Phase of Learning (Year 7-9) where girls are provided with integrated learning options that deepen and enrich literacy, numeracy and digital skills across all areas. The Senior Phase of Learning (Year 10-12) provides an inclusive transition from Middle School to the challenges of independent learning as a young adult.

The College’s tradition of strong academic success is complemented by the extensive sporting, cultural and higher order thinking programs. Integrated pastoral care and social justice activities support and challenge students on their learning journeys to become strong and gentle women in the tradition of the Brigidine Sisters.

The Brigidine College community is blessed by a rich past, fully engaged in the present and ready to face the future with confidence and hope.
