Kildare Ministries Conference 2021

The Kildare Ministries Conference will run from the 28th to the 30th of April. The first evening of the conference will be hosted from Marian College Ararat and livestreamed. You may elect to attend this first afternoon / evening of the conference in person. Lunch will be kindly offered by Marian College and Kildare Ministries will organise a group booking at a local establishment for dinner.  Recommendations for accommodation bookings will be offered and ministries will book accommodation for their delegates.

After the 28th, the remainder of the conference will be held online and there are no other 'in person sessions.' Of course, your organisation may decide to take the opportunity to remain in Ararat, away from your day-to-day environment and both participate in the conference as well as carry out  planning and reflecting with your team.

All sessions are available online with some offline activities which are aimed at enriching the conference experience and our collective response to our challenge of injustice.

It is imperative that some members of your ministry form a core group of delegates who will attend every session as if they were attending the conference face to face. This gives your ministry the greatest opportunity to enrich others and be enriched by the learning and discussion. You may also elect to offer single sessions to other staff / members of your teams.

Sessions will include:
  • A keynote address by Bishop Vincent Long
  • An address by Anne Boyd csb - Peace and Justice in relation to spirituality, ecology and earth
  • A look at injustice from a Student Panel perspective
  • An exploration of St. Joseph's artistic interpretation of Brigidine and Presentation Stories
  • A Community Works Panel discussion
  • A reflection on mission leadership and the Living Justice Living Peace Charter by Michael Trainor
  • An insight into Marian College Ararat
