In October, staff from across our ministries gathered in Daylesford for an experiential Integral Ecology Retreat, grounded in the vision of Laudato Si’.
Structured around Wind, Fire, Earth and Water from the Canticle of the Sun and Moon by St Francis of Assisi, the retreat invited reflection on developing ecospirituality, strengthening ecological education, and living more consciously as part of Earth’s larger living body.
Drawing on Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects Spiral Framework — moving through gratitude, acknowledging our pain for the world, seeing with new and ancient eyes, and going forth — the retreat created space to face Earth’s current crisis with honesty and hope.
Participants were encouraged to draw on our Wisdom sources and commit to practical, compassionate action for our common home.
